Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Is on the Shelf
Store Pick #43 landed Saturday, October 3, the same day as Des Moines Whiskey Fest.
Distilleries keep a short list of special barrels they hold for the right occasion. Cedar Ridge pulled this one off that list and sold it to us for Whiskey Fest weekend. It's a single barrel of their Double Barrel bourbon: three and a half years in the first barrel, then a year and a half in a new American oak barrel. Cedar Ridge's standard Double Barrel bourbon scored 96 points, Platinum and Best in Show in its category, at the 2024 TAG Global Spirits Awards.
117.2 proof, with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, brown sugar, walnuts, chocolate-covered raisins, baked apple and tobacco leaf. When this barrel's gone, it's gone.

Allocated Bourbon Goes by Raffle, Not by Who You Know
Everybody wants a shot at the hard-to-find bottles, so we don't play favorites. There's no back room and no list for friends. Allocated bourbon goes out by raffle, drawn live in the store with everybody watching. We run two of them.
The Big Raffle
Twice a year we raffle off our hardest-to-find bottles, and anybody can get in. No purchase, no loyalty points, no knowing a guy. We draw numbers live, the winner picks their bottle, and it sells at or near MSRP. We post the next date on Facebook and in the store.
The Saturday Raffle
Every Saturday at 1:00 pm, when stock allows, we hold a smaller raffle as a thank-you to our loyalty customers. Loyalty points get you in, numbers are drawn live, and bottles go at or near MSRP.

Local 5 had us on the air ahead of the Des Moines Whiskey Festival, the same weekend our Cedar Ridge Store Pick hit the shelf.

Brewzle, a national bourbon YouTube channel, came through Iowa and filmed a 318,000-view episode, and our store is one of the stops. We don't usually talk ourselves up, so we'll let them do it.

In and Out, Seven Days a Week
Some days you don't feel like browsing, and that's fine by us. Pull around to the drive-thru on the north side of the building and we'll get you on your way. Our walk-in beer cave keeps it cold for game day, and we're open until 11 pm Monday to Wednesday and until midnight Thursday to Saturday.
Veterans save 5% every day of the week. Show your veteran ID at checkout. It's a small way of saying thanks.

Where is Liquor Lovers located?
We're at 1510 S Ankeny Blvd, Suite 107/108, in Ankeny, Iowa. The drive-thru is on the north side of the building.

Does Liquor Lovers ship alcohol?
No. We don't ship alcohol, in Iowa or out of state. Everything is picked up in the store or at the drive-thru, and you must be 21 or older.
